Heavenly Father is the father of our spirits, and we are his spirit children. We don’t remember living with Heavenly Father before we came to earth, but we know we are his spirit children because we read it in the scriptures.

The need for food storage can come in many different places and for many different reasons: natural disasters (wildfires, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.,) economic crisis (the loss of a job,c etc.,) health benefits, everyday emergencies (unexpected guests, forgotten dinner party etc.,) religious reasons.

I first saw this and thought it looked like a fun one to try with the kids. I had no idea if we would like it. But now we love it and it’s so simple to make.

Day 24 ~ “For behold, the time cometh, and is not far distant, that with power o the Lord Omnipotent who reigneth, who was, and is from all down from heaven among the children of men, and shall dwell in a tabernacle of clay, and shall go forth amongst men, working mighty miracles. . . and he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father in Heaven and earth, and the creator of all things from the beginning. . . 18 ¶Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Scripture Reading: Luke 2:15-20 15 And
it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven,
the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem,
and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known
unto us.
16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
20 And
the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things
that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
The wise men did not come the night Jesus was born as the shepherds did. They saw the star in the east and raveled far to see him. They arrived in Palestine from the east sometime later, perhaps even months later.
There is no account that tells us just how many wise men came to worship the Savior. There may have been three; there may have been seven; there may have been ten. But how many come is not so important. What is important is that they were wise men who came to present their gifts and worship this wondrous child. We today should remember that wise men still seek him.
1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judæa in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judæa: for thus it is written by the prophet,
6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
9 When
they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they
saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the
young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 ¶And
when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary
his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened
their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
Day 23 ~ “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king behold thee came wise men from the feast to Jerusalem, saying, 'where is he that is born King of the Jesus: For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship Him." ~ Matthew 2:1-2
Day 22 ~ "And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." ~ Luke 2: 16-18
Day 20 ~ “And Joseph also went up from Galilee out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea unto the city of David, which is Bethlehem, to be taxed with Mary, his espoused wife, being greed with child.
And so it was that while they were there. . . she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was not room for them in the inn." ~ Luke 2:4-7
Day 19 ~ “And it came to pass that there was no darkness in all that night but it was as light as though it was midday. And it came to pass that the sun did rise in the morning again, according to its proper order; and they knew that it was the day that the Lord should be born, because of the sign which had been given." ~ 3 Nephi 1:19
Day 18 ~ “Lift up your head and be of good cheer; for behold, the time is a t hand, and on this night shall the sign be given, and on the morrow come I unto the world, to show unto the world that I will fulfill all that which I have caused to be spoken by the mouth of my holy prophets.." ~ 3 Nephi 1:13
